Acupuncture

Acupuncture is a traditional Chinese medical practice that involves the insertion of thin needles into specific points on the body. It is a key component of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) and has been practiced for thousands of years.

The theory behind acupuncture is rooted in the concept of Qi (pronounced “chee”), which is believed to be the vital energy that flows through pathways called meridians in the body. According to traditional Chinese medicine, disruptions or imbalances in the flow of Qi can lead to health issues. Acupuncture is used to help restore the proper flow of Qi and restore balance within the body.

During an acupuncture session, a trained acupuncturist will carefully insert thin, sterile needles into specific points on the body. The selection of points depends on the individual’s condition and treatment goals. The needles are usually left in place for a short period, typically ranging from a few minutes to half an hour. Sometimes we use techniques such as gentle manipulation or electrical stimulation of the needles.

Moxibustion

Moxibustion, often simply called “moxa,” has been practiced for centuries in traditional Chinese medicine. Moxibustion involves the burning of dried plant materials (Artemisia vulgaris), commonly known as “moxa”, on or near the surface of the skin to promote healing.

Cupping Therapy

At first glance, cupping might seem intimidating and uncomfortable. However, it's actually one of the most therapeutic and healing techniques available. This ancient practice revitalizes your body by opening up pores, promoting robust blood flow, and stimulating body regions to eliminate blockages, enabling your Qi (life energy) to flow freely.

Cupping therapy has a centuries-old history and offers our patients relief from a wide array of ailments they might grapple with daily. While particularly beneficial for respiratory conditions, cupping at Li Ting extends its healing benefits to many other health issues as well.

Natural Collagen
Induction Therapy

Cosmetic Acupuncture is a totally natural, non-surgical facial that more people are turning to as a viable and highly acclaimed alternative to invasive injections, fillers and chemical treatments. In addition to reducing wrinkles and discoloration from age spots, acne, and rosacea, some other “side benefits” of cosmetic treatments include improved energy, more sound sleep, reduction in hot flashes and headaches, and the ability to handle stress more easily.

Microneedling, also known as collagen induction therapy, is a cosmetic procedure that involves using a device with small, fine needles to create controlled micro-injuries on the skin’s surface. These tiny punctures stimulate the body’s natural healing process, leading to the production of collagen and elastin, which are essential proteins for skin health and elasticity.

This cosmetic treatment extends traditional acupuncture, naturally enhancing skin's youthfulness and health. Unlike injections, facial acupuncture nurtures overall skin health alongside age-related concerns. Inspired by ancient wisdom, our method focuses on balancing energy and soothing the mind. It operates internally to optimize wellness and external appearance. Following Traditional Chinese Medicine, Facial Rejuvenation Acupuncture treats mind, body, and spirit for youthful skin, smoothing fine wrinkles, and holistic wellness.

Tiny acupuncture needles at shallow depths stimulate collagen and elastin production, firming and brightening the skin. Chromotherapy, or color light therapy, enhances the healing process. Red light therapy, non-invasive and soothing, aids healing, reduces inflammation, and betters skin conditions by boosting cellular function and ATP production. Red, blue, green, and yellow lights offer unique benefits, from antimicrobial properties to detoxification and radiant glow.
